Grandfather Mountain's National Trails Day

Come out to Profile Trailhead and celebrate National Trails Day at Grandfather Mountain State Park! Learn about the 7 Leave No Trace principles by making a booklet to add to your hiking pack and try your hand at our Profile Priorities Trail Work Scavenger Hunt! Pick up a copy of the scavenger hunt at the trailhead, check off each photo within the first half mile of the trail, and come back to get your prize! 

Grandfather Mountain State Park is free admission, all park rules must be followed at all times- free hiking permits are available at the trailhead and must be filled out before going on the trail. Our park hours are strictly enforced, and gates are locked at closing time.
