The Daniel Boone Native Gardens in Boone is hosting a summer concert series — the second annual Roots in the Garden.

Concerts are Thursday evenings at 5:30 in the gardens. Picnics are welcome -- all beverages should be in plastic or aluminum cups. The concerts are free but donations will be accepted. A food truck, beer tent, and other vendors will be on hand. Dogs are not allowed in the gardens.
